Run the installation silently

out to many PCs. |

| Improve workflow with Project Manager |
This has been
already added in the 5.5 Beta. The Project Manger in SQL Navigator
allows you to only display windows that are linked to the current
project. For example, say you are working on some changes to the CRM
system your company is developing when a change request comes through
for another project that you are responsible for. The changes to SQL
Navigator will allow you switch to another Project within the Project
Manager, and have SQL Navigator display only the windows that you need
for the Project you are working on. |

| Citrix and Terminal Server support |
We altered SQL Navigator to run
in both Citrix and Terminal Server environments. Now, SQL Navigator can
be installed once on the server and published to a group of users. In
the case of multiple users on a single computer, we've even engineered
the product so one user doesn't alter the settings of another user on
that machine. |
|
|
| Full Version Control support for Java Source code |
This was a great
suggestion. We added in support for .JSC files. We also extended Team
coding support for other object types: Tables, Index, Cluster, Sequence
and Synonym.
|
|
|
| Team Coding support for CVS |
As CVS has become a more
popular versioning program, we have noticed a growing demand from SQL
Navigator users to add support for this tool. We added this support in
the 5.0 release. |
|
|
| Allowing duplicating rows from grid in Data tab in Table Editor |
Useful suggestion. We added an
icon to the grid in the SQL Editor to allow users to quickly duplicate
rows (as long as constraints are not enforced). |
|
|
| Expand support for Materialized Views (Snapshots) |
We added VOE for Snapshots. Now, you can also create and edit snapshots in SQL Navigator. |
|
|
| Enhanced Task Bar |
We received mixed feedback when
grouping of buttons on the Task Bar was implemented in 5.0. As a
result, we added a number of preferences in 5.1 to allow customization
of this feature. |
|
|
| Adding GUI for Oracle Wrap Utility |
Following a growing number of calls about Wrap Utility we added this feature in 5.0 |
|
|
| Team Coding for additional objects |
This was an excellent
suggestion that truly adds value to SQL Navigator. Everyone will
definitely appreciate SQL Navigator's expanded Team Coding support for
objects including table and java source. |

|
| Add Oracle Home selection to the connection window |
As there are multiple ways to
connect to various Oracle database installations, we trust this feature
will help our users. It will allow you to select your Oracle Home,
without going to Oracle Universal Installer or using the Windows
Control Panel. The connection window is further enhanced in the 5.5
Beta - we added option to use LDAP for connection to Oracle as well. |
|
|
| Edit TNSNames.ora file directly from connection window |
Now you can make edits directly from SQL Navigator. |
|
|
| Allow to save settings in Export Data for future use |
Thanks - very obvious usability enhancement. We added it in. |
|
|
| Allow to view LONG datatype values on the grid in Quick Browse |
Many SQL Navigator users
requested this feature. There is now a new preference in the SQL Editor
called "Display LONG columns" which allows you to choose one of the
following ways to view LONGs: On demand (in pop-up editor), Preview
(below each row) and Full text (within cells). |
|
|
| Allow to display LONG datatype in the results grid |
Implemented. |
|
|
| Remember the directory of the previous saved file |
Another very useful enhancement. |
|
|
| Add option to close editor window after the "Autorun script at connect" preference is run |
Sometimes the simplest things make such a big difference! We added a preference "Close script on successful execution". |
