  • For a full list of new features in SQL Navigator version 6.1.1, please see the release notes. New features include:
    • Session Browser allows you to easily view and work with sessions. Information on all sessions is organized in grid view.
    • New formatter supports syntax up to Oracle 11g
    • Enhanced Debugger includes just-in-time debugger to debug external session
    • Unicode Support in the Table Editor's Data Grid allows you to browse and edit data with multi-byte character sets, including Japanese and Korean – users can browse or manipulate data in multiple character sets at the same time
    • Improved Find Objects dialog lets you specify schema code and search for table/view column
    • New preference to include data type definition for table column when performing extract DDL
    • Improved Data Grid displays complex data types such as Array or Cursor
    • IFile/Direct Connection support has been added


    SQL Navigator 6.0 includes: 

    • Unicode Support – Unicode support in the data grids allows users to browse and edit data with multi-byte character sets, including Japanese and Korean – users can browse or manipulate data in multiple character sets at the same time 
    • New, Unified Editor – To provide a consistent and streamlined workflow, all features of the SQL Editor and the Stored Program Editor are combined into a single editor for editing SQL or PL/SQL 
    • Enhanced Data Grid – Provides greater flexibility and speed when working with large datasets (regardless of character set), includes features such as grouping and enhanced exporting and navigation 
    • Enhanced Debugger – Simplifies the process of debugging stored programs through a new debugging workflow 
    • Updated Workflow – New Toolbox sidebar provides quick access to some of the most important tools a developer needs, like the­ DB Explorer: allows quick access to database objects while the Outline provides a top-to-bottom outline of the code in the editor­; and Code Explorer: helps you keep track of code components, such as variables and parameters, their types, structure and cursors 
    • Support for Oracle 11g and LDAP (with Active Directory)
